Природно – математички факултет Универзитета у Нишу организује у четвртак 06. октобра .2011.  године   у 12 сати предавање на тему “Recursive Partitioning for Simulation of Breast Tissue”.  Предавач је проф.  др  Драгољуб  Покрајац  из Сједињених Америчких Држава (Delaware State University, Dover, DE, USA).
 

Предавање  ће бити одржано у свечаној сали на првом спрату ПМФ-а.


    APSTRAKT: Computer models of breast anatomy have been used in preclinical validation of breast cancer imaging systems. In this presentation we discuss a novel algorithm for simulation of breast tissue based on recursive partitioning of a 3D volume. We provide mathematical basis for mechanisms of thickness control, accounting for partial volume effect (when a voxel contains multiple materials) and discuss  our latest results on asymptotic computational complexity. We demonstrate experimental results on simulations of various features of the metod and experimental evidence on theoretical complexity bounds.
